" Verbena's Vanessa and Jenny decided early that the floral's could not compete with all the original art in our chosen venue in the penthouse at Swans Hotel in downtown Victoria, B.C. Instead, they felt they should be sculptural and dramatic. They were. Mal was struck by the exquisite balance and design of green orchids, dark chocolate calla lilies, white roses and white lisiantus."
"The bouquets in the main rooms were stunning and the mantle above the fireplace, in front of which we were married, spilled over in exquisite white blooms with arching greenery and eucalyptus. My bouquet rested on my arm, a rich array of white and deep chocolate long-stemmed calla lilies with looped reeds, wrapped in heavy burgundy ribbon. Each of our six daughters carried a single calla lily bound in deep burgundy ribbon. The boutonnieres were a simple explosion of curves, deep chocolate calla lilies, white roses for the sons-in-law and white-rose posies for the granddaughters."
