Frank and Tammy invited all their friends camping to Port Renfrew for the weekend and threw in a wedding while they were out there. They were married on the sandbar on a carpet of rose petals. The bouquets were an exquisite combination of calla lilies and orchids. We managed to snap these pictures before they were picked up and Devin Card the photographer is supplying the real deal, so keep checking back!

Blue and White by the Bay

Tracey and Chris chose the classic palette of white, blue and lilac to enhance their wedding this past weekend out in Sidney. We were giddy with the overall look of the results. The bridal bouquet was an intricate posy of roses, lisianthus, freesia, veronica, and of course hydrangea. The arrangements were overflowing with the same, and the view…. well it speaks for itself.Deb Turner of Wedding Cakes Victoria created a beautiful cake with a filigre treatment, and the deck of the yacht club was a gorgeous vantage point to take in the view. Below is our version of a photo shoot, however Rae Murphy did a much better job and we cant wait to see the results!
Sea Cider

Meghan and Andrew, a lovely young couple from Vancouver, crossed the pond this weekend to get married at Sea Cider Farm and Ciderhouse. When we met back in the early spring we knew this wedding would be fun. The colours were orange, lime green and brown! The bridal bouquet was a mixture of orchids, callas, roses and berries, and each bridesmaid carried a posy filled with a single bloom from Meghan’s.
The main arrangement was an 8 foot garland that ran along the railing of the deck off the main ciderhouse. It housed the view of Mt. Baker perfectly. It is a truly beautiful spot for a wonderful couple. Thank you Meghan, Andrew and your families for allowing us to be a part of this day.
Below is what we captured with our cameras, however we anxiously await the images taken by the AMAZING Helene Cyr to see how it all flowed.

Here is what it looks like before we wave the magic wand and a wedding (or in this case three!) happens.
White Hot on the West Coast

The view at the ceremony site spoke for itself, so we used simple touches of purple satin ribbon, purple being the bride’s favorite color and marked the spot with a small carpet of rose petals
Kate and Kris were a wonderful couple and we were so happy to be a part of their special day. Getting to know both of them and their families was definately a highlight for us, we spent a wonderful afternoon in the backyard of Kate’s parents house building all the arrangements and everyone went out of their way to make sure we were okay. We know that the celebration was spectacular and once again can’t wait to see the real photo’s that Ute Mueller from FotoArt Photography captured as she is a genius with the lens!
Kristen & David at Villa Marco Polo

Kristen and David were married on Saturday afternoon at Villa Marco Polo in Victoria BC. The Villa’s garden is an exquisite place and provides the perfect setting for an intimate afternoon wedding. Kristen and David were so much fun to work with, and we can’t wait to see the “real” photo’s from CJ Scott a brilliant photographer who they hired to capture the wedding. Kristen’s bouquet was the perfect blend of whites and greens. We used a combination of romantic blooms such as roses and lisianthus, and then added more contemporary flowers like cymbidium orchids, phalenopsis blooms and clusters of china berries.
